I will help you find, tell, and—most importantly—live your story. Some ways we might go about doing that include:

cultural interview

Before all else, we’ll identify your needs and wants so we know where we’re going. We’ll also establish your cultural values so we figure out how we’re going to go about getting there. We want to discover who you are on a fundamental level so that we can work towards your true goals and not be distracted by short-term or superficial efforts.

visual content

Both personally and professionally, I have experience in a variety of visual media—e.g., studio photography, technical illustration, video production. I can help you with the concept and creation of imagery that informs, educates, and emotionally connects with your intended audience.

organizational systems

Processes, protocols, and organizational systems are stories themselves—they explain how things are done or where they go. While managing a 3D printing lab, I saw how these technical stories kept team members in sync, and how they made it easy for outsiders to understand the team's operation. It would please my inner nerd to help you create systems or write technical documentation that offer utility and insights.

presentation training

How we present ourselves in person or on camera shapes how our audience perceives our story. Having realized this, I learned to present myself with confidence and humor by studying and performing in various forms of comedic theater. I can share with you the lessons I’ve learned, exercises to improve your skills, and strategies that suit your personality.

design critique

The design of our reports, websites, or products is often our audience's  first impression of who we are. I've long enjoyed the process of crafting various types of digital and print media (e.g. interactive programs, flyers, and book layout) that catch the viewers' eyes and readily convey information. I can prepare detailed reviews of your media that identify problematic design issues along with their solutions.

historical records

Accurate and consistent records yield a rich resource for telling the story of where we've been and, in turn, where we are going. I've seen so often we're focused on the immediate impact of our work, that we neglect the extra step to make sure the learnings behind it aren't lost to time. I can help you find ways to make the process of keeping records simple and accessible in the future.

Ultimately, the projects we work on will be suited to your individual needs. We’ll find creative ways to solve problems, discover insights, and promote efficiency. My philosophy for accomplishing these goals is derived from my cultural values.
